Liar by Stephanie St. Klaire

5 out of 5 stakes!

Damn this book is hilarious. And it really should be a Rom-com movie or mini t.v. series. It had me laughing at so many parts. Cori is trying to become vp at her job. And fakes a lot of what she doesn’t have. Her friend James is a uber driver and has a nice expensive car. So that is one lie, then she shortens her name and all kinds of other stuff. But what she doesn’t know is the one fake/lie is going to get her good. When she grabs Nick off the street to prerend she is her soon to be husband it becomes so funny.
Dominic is so into pretending with Cori you root for him. And Cori hasn’t a clue about a lot of things. It becomes a who is playing who but in a funny way. Please make this into a series. These two are freaking hilarious trying to make another couple so jealous. Omg I love this book. I totally can picture Emilia Clarke playing Cori.

BOOK BLURB:

Fake it until you make it. That was the mantra Cori Dash chanted as she chased a big city dream. The more you tell people you’re on top of the world, the more they believe it – just like they believed the embellished image she sold them with her knock off designer facade. It wasn’t lying if the truth stood somewhere in the middle – and she didn’t get caught.

Dominic Blackthorne owned half of that big city…and a reputation. Rather than dispel rumors or show the world the real Nick, he let his own fake image run free. Until Cori Dash – the only person who told him exactly how it was, even if it stung.

When Cori is faced with her ex-fiance, now engaged to her ex-best friend, it’s game on. In her boldest move yet, she concocts her biggest lie to date by introducing the first handsome stranger that walks by as her new fiancé. Happy to play the part, Nick is already planning the fake wedding of her dreams.

You know what they say about lying – the truth always comes out – and it hurts. Especially when Cori finds out she isn’t the biggest Liar in this game, and she’s been out played.

AUTHOR INFORMATION:
Stephanie St. Klaire is a Pacific Northwest native currently living in Portland, Oregon with her husband, five children, and two ferocious lap dogs that are used to the finer things in life like sleeping all day. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found with a plate full of taco’s, a side of bean dip, and probably some gummy bears while being a little bit hippy and a lot bit busy mom’ing and wife’ing.

When she’s not tossing around gritty crime show inspired serial killers and diabolical bad guys, she likes to make people pee their pants a little with a good romcom. Sometimes, her worlds collide, and she writes really funny stuff right before she kills people off on the pages! She loves murder and mayhem as much as a good laugh and HEA! That’s why she’s a die-hard Hallmark junky but loves her gritty crime shows – balance!

Stephanie has always been a story teller, with the gift of “gab”, and a life-long goal to be a writer. Unfortunate circumstances with her health, finally afforded her the time to do so. Irony at its best, she began writing her first novel at an adverse time, to escape her circumstance and explore the stories in her imagination for relief. She is happy to share those stories with her readers, and bring a little fun, entertainment, and of course smexy characters to the pages.

Thoughts on The downside of love by Meghan Quinn. Author information and buying links below:

The Downside of love
By
Meghan Quinn

4 out of 5 stakes!

Another great hit for Meghan in my opinion. I enjoyed this book even though I didn’t agree with some of it.
I recommend that everyone reads book 1 before reading this book.
The story continues right from that crazy ending.
This story is about love and the different ways it can change and help someone. Now its true we can’t help who we fall in love with or the reasons for it.
These people in this book I feel all had their reasons as to why and I get that. Even if I didn’t like it very much.
Heck I even I understood it.
However I wish things went a tad differently. But Meghan knows what she is doing with writing these wonderful amazing books.
I hope there will be another book to this. Because I feel we can’t end it here, these great characters need more.

The Blue Line Duet

By Meghan Quinn

THE DOWNSIDE OF LOVE

This isn’t a story about a love triangle. There is no triangle involved.

This isn’t a story about an accidental pregnancy. Although having a baby with her . . . I would.

This isn’t a story about lies and deception, even though at times I’ve lied to myself.

No, this is my story.

A story about sacrifice.

A story about a man who fell in love with the wrong girl.

A story I wish I never had to tell.

This is a story about the true meaning of the downside of love.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. THE UPSIDE OF FALLING – Release Day – June 21

Tucked away at the base of the Rocky Mountains lived a little boy with one singular dream: leave this broken and battered home and become someone.

Be somebody’s hero.

That boy was me—Colby Brooks. Except I’m not that same little boy anymore.

My dreams might still be the same, but my reality isn’t.

I’m smarter. Stronger. A man.

And I learned a long damn time ago, the only way to achieve my dreams was to avoid distractions—at any cost.

Focus. Resolve. Determination.

But all it took was one single night. One night and my entire life…changed.

One night had me colliding head first with the biggest distraction of my life; Rory Oaks.

Smart. Charming. Beautiful.

Rory changed everything.

Quickly, my one-track mind started to bend.

Each kiss faded decade-long dreams.

And with one single incident, I fly off course.

My review for this book is live: One Baby Daddy ( Dating by numbers # 3) By Meghan Quinn

  • 5 out of 5 stakes!!!
  • First off I don’t think Meghan can put out a book that isn’t 5 stakes from me. I love this book, in fact at parts I was getting so annoyed with a character I had to go and peek and see how it would end. I know, I know we shouldnt do that. But damn this book is that good I had to know.

This book is told from two p.o.v.’s and that is nice when you can get to read two sides to a story. I just adore Hayden, I think I found a new book boyfriend. We need more books with him. ( Hint, Hint ) Hayden is an extremely great hockey player. But from one incident on the ice and a not so nice answer in an interview brings Hayden back home with his best friend.
Never would he have thought coming home to clear his head would he meet the woman of his dreams. Adalyn is a character whom I liked throughout the book. She doesn’t take crap from anyone, but also doesn’t really let anyone in. But when she meets Hayden she feels something for him besides attraction. Adalyn just doesn’t realize it yet that he is the man who will break down her walls.
I will say it during the last half of the book Adalyn really and I mean really annoyed me. I was thinking come on you are smarter and better then this. You honestly didn’t realize….. I don’t want to give away any spoilers. Except we do get to see Hayden’s side of the date when he meets Noely.

ONE BABY DADDY
By Meghan Quinn

What are you doing now that your team is out of the running for the Stanley Cup?”

Forget.

I need to forget. I need an escape.

Only one person isn’t falling for my reputation as the NHL’s Golden Boy; she captured my attention the minute she called me out for snooping through my best friend’s house. She didn’t want to hear my reason–she only wanted to playfully give me a hard time.

Adalyn is bold, sassy–and the perfect escape.

She’s everywhere. In town and in my dreams, and suddenly I need to spend every waking moment with her.

And I do, making this summer the best off-season I’ve ever had.

But in the midst of getting lost in Adalyn, what I don’t expect is to get her pregnant.

And what I definitely don’t expect is having to fight for her affection.

Thoughts on All about hope by Ashley Erin

5 out of 5 stakes!

Okay wow, first I love how these two had chemistry together. But yet Alex tried to avoid all of that because he doesn’t open up to many people in fact to no one at all except for whom he treats as a sister. And on top it Lia has been hurt before so she trusts no one. She thinks she can just have hook ups or friends with benefits. And with Alex she will take whatever she can get. She wants to keep him as a friend no matter what. Alex wants to run from his feelings. He doesn’t think Lia can just hook up whenever. But when she proves that she can it makes being around her wonderful. Only now Alex is starting to feel for Lia, but little does he know she has feelings for him as well. I really enjoyed these two getting to know each other more. Even though they did it backwards, it was still great. Now we do learn way more about Alex in this book because its told from his point of view and Lia’s. What we learn he feels could break what he has with everyone when he finally learns a secret that has been kept from him his whole life. Pick this book up. I’m really wishing we get a 3rd book or an on going series… hint hint.

Two Wedding Crashers ( The dating by Number series ) by Meghan Quinn

Two Wedding Crashers
The dating by number series-
Book 2
Standalone
By
Meghan Quinn

5 out of 5 Stakes!

I honestly don’t think Meghan can put out a book I won’t love.
I’m serious. This book had me laughing so much and yet cry some.
It’s just so good.

Plus how can we not love this book we get to know Beck’s story and like him even more then we already did. And for those that didn’t read the first book to this series that’s fine. This is a standalone. However I do recommend picking up book one because its just as awesome as this book.

Rylee is wonderful, we meet her and its like yep she is all of us in some way. She says hey I don’t know what love is anymore. And wow that is the start of everything. Her two friends are there to help her out. But after some drinks, she still has no clue what to write about or what love is.
Then of course her friend says hey I’m going to a wedding, you should crash it.

Ha, ha that was everything that sold me on this book. Because I thought one how is this female going to pull that off and let alone this other guy.
But when Beck and Rylee meet its everything.

From then on you are like aww, how can they not see each other as more then friends or just two wedding crashers. Both crashing a wedding for two different reasons.

Beck is still so wonderful in this book that I was like oh man I think I like him even more so now. Rylee is awesome and balances out Beck and his live for the moment stuff.
But Beck gets Rylee to try and live for the moment as well.

These two and their trying pies and coming up with good stories on how they met or their fake married life to strangers had me laughing so hard.
I was like yep, you two have it bad for each other.
Only if they could realize it themselves and not think its just live by the moment weekend fling.

I don’t want to give away so much from this book, but I will say what we learn about both characters gave me all kinds of feels. I was like aww damn really? Now I know why you act and do the stuff you do.
Hell I’m not going to lie, I was talking to these two as if they could hear me and would listen to me.
Pick up this book and the previous book.
I can’t wait for the 3rd one by the way…. Wish it was out now.

TWO WEDDING CRASHERS
THE DATING BY NUMBERS SERIES – Book 2
By Meghan Quinn
Standalone

I don’t know what love is anymore.

Well, that’s not entirely true, but I’m going to tell you a little secret: I’ve lost the spark.

You know the kind of spark I’m talking about?

Where butterflies take flight in your stomach from two hands innocently colliding. Or catching your breath when you first meet someone attractive. Yeah, that spark.

Except I haven’t felt that feeling in forever; there is nothing left inside of me.

Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem–but I’m a writer on a serious deadline, and my editor is breathing down my neck for a romantic, Nicholas Sparks type love story. No pressure, right?

That’s how I find myself flying across the country to crash a wedding in the name of research, dress and heels stuffed into my small suitcase.

It should be the easiest book research ever. Drinking some free champagne, basking in the love of two strangers, and tapping into my romantic side. That will be a breeze. I’m a pro. I can handle this.

Until I mistakenly end up in the wrong hotel room, naked as the day I was born, with the sexiest human I have ever met staring me down, wondering what I’m doing taking a shower in his bathroom. I don’t think calling it research will get me out of this pickle.

EXCERPT
Chills scream their way down my arms and legs, my nipples pucker, and just like that, with one word, all humor vanishes from our little conversation and awareness of this all-consuming man wrapped around me hits me hard.
Gathering myself, I say, “Tell me something Chris and Justine know about you.”
“Hmm.” His thumbs hook under the waistband of my shorts, playing with the lower part of my hipbones. His touch spurs on my pelvis, needing to rock, begging for him to go lower. My toes curl in my sandals and my back slightly arches, reaching for more. “Something they know about me.”
His mouth doesn’t stray from its position against my ear, and his hips start to slowly move underneath me, his legs tangling with mine. Involuntarily, one of my hands hooks the back of his neck as I hold on tightly to him, feeling like I need support from the onslaught of sensation I’m feeling.
I hear him say something, but it doesn’t register in my brain, which has turned to mush as his thumbs stray from my hipbones to right above my pubic bone.
There is no denying how turned on I am, how wet I am from his mere touch, how much—despite my reservations—I want this man.
With each stroke, my head turns farther and farther to the side until our noses are touching, Beck’s head bends forward to meet me halfway. My eyes flutter shut for a brief moment before I open them and am captured by those flecks of green and gold.
The air stills around us, our breath mixing, swirling between us, our lips so close.
One swipe of this thumb.
Another one.
I can’t breathe.
I can’t focus.
Another swipe, my head leans even closer, my tongue wetting my lips.
One more swipe . . .
My heart hammers in my chest, my skin prickling with awareness.
Beck brings his mouth even closer, only a whisper away now, and he waits.
Holding still.
His breathing feeling erratic beneath me.
One.
More.
Swipe.
And I’m gone.
I bring my mouth to his, slowly parting my lips ever so slightly, just enough to maneuver my mouth across his.
A low, provocative moan escapes Beck as one of his hands snags the back of my head and holds me in place, almost as if he lets go, I’ll disappear.
Needing more, I shift on his lap so I’m straddling him once again, my hands on his bare chest, feeling the powerful sinew that holds him together.
Our lips press and mold, mingling, taking, begging . . .
Desperate.
Beck’s tongue runs against my bottom lip, eliciting a moan from deep within me, lighting a fire so hot, so wild, my hands start to travel up his neck to his cheeks where I grip him, positioning his head so when I open my mouth, I can expertly dive my tongue onto his.
He groans, his lap shifting against mine now, his hard-on pressing against my wet and throbbing center. I match his rocking, using my position on his lap to take advantage of his length I can feel through his board shorts.
This is exactly what I didn’t want to happen, but God, am I happy it has. Maybe I really should live in the moment, maybe I should take advantage of the opportunity, maybe I should…
