Thoughts on The right side of forever by Meghan Quinn

5 out of 5 stakes!!

Omg this book is the fave of this series for me.
So much sass and laughter and tears. Again told in different point of views. Also not allowed to say to much. So no spoilers in this review.
The reason it’s my fave out of this series is because everything comes together full circle.
You understand more about everyone. Hell you learn more about characters. However again I think there should be more books to this series.
The highs and lows that everyone experiences are in these books.
From work to life to friends and love.
You don’t get to decide who you fall for, it just happens. People just end up where they are suppose to be. No matter the time or place.
Again this book makes you believe in a lot. And makes you wish for a lot. I identified with a character a lot in this one. With the feelings and flaws.
Please people let’s chat about these books. Message me. I want to talk all things books and this series is high up there for me right now.

Book blurb:

In sickness and in health, to love and to cherish . . .

It sounds so simple, to love someone unconditionally.

To give them your heart.

So why is she slowly eating away at my soul with every unanswered phone call, every unread text, and every door left unopened?

She said yes, and yet, in order for her to be with me . . . I need to let her go.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

Thoughts on The left side of Perfect by Meghan Quinn

4 out of 5 stakes!

Well let me start off by saying wow. What did I just read? Felt like I was in the book. This book is told from a couple of point of views. Again I love this from authors.
I love knowing how the characters are feeling and thinking.
This book did exactly that.
Made me laugh a lot and yet made me sad sometimes.
Its a book you have to read in order.
Now I’m not allowed to give any spoilers I will say this you won’t be disappointed.
Now however those who have read this book please message me. I want to talk about it.
And my fave characters and parts.
I have already started the next book in the series. I can tell I already want a box of tissues for the emotional rollercoaster I’m on. Ha ha. From laughter to saying wait no don’t say that… You don’t mean it.
Catch up everyone, see what we all want to talk about but can’t!

A blurb about this book below:For better or for worse,’til death do us part . . .

The better captured me; she’s who stole my heart.

And made me realize I couldn’t live without this woman.

The worse of her took my breath away–kicked me when I was down and twisted me into a million knots.

When I first met her, I thought she was someone I would never see again.

The second time I ran into her, it was a random coincidence.

The third?

I didn’t know it at the time, but she was the girl I was going to marry.

But life isn’t always perfect. You have to take the better and the worse–even if it means giving her up, having her slip between your fingers, and letting her walk away.

I’m getting married.

This is forever, ’til death do us part.

Liar by Stephanie St. Klaire

5 out of 5 stakes!

Damn this book is hilarious. And it really should be a Rom-com movie or mini t.v. series. It had me laughing at so many parts. Cori is trying to become vp at her job. And fakes a lot of what she doesn’t have. Her friend James is a uber driver and has a nice expensive car. So that is one lie, then she shortens her name and all kinds of other stuff. But what she doesn’t know is the one fake/lie is going to get her good. When she grabs Nick off the street to prerend she is her soon to be husband it becomes so funny.
Dominic is so into pretending with Cori you root for him. And Cori hasn’t a clue about a lot of things. It becomes a who is playing who but in a funny way. Please make this into a series. These two are freaking hilarious trying to make another couple so jealous. Omg I love this book. I totally can picture Emilia Clarke playing Cori.

BOOK BLURB:

Fake it until you make it. That was the mantra Cori Dash chanted as she chased a big city dream. The more you tell people you’re on top of the world, the more they believe it – just like they believed the embellished image she sold them with her knock off designer facade. It wasn’t lying if the truth stood somewhere in the middle – and she didn’t get caught.

Dominic Blackthorne owned half of that big city…and a reputation. Rather than dispel rumors or show the world the real Nick, he let his own fake image run free. Until Cori Dash – the only person who told him exactly how it was, even if it stung.

When Cori is faced with her ex-fiance, now engaged to her ex-best friend, it’s game on. In her boldest move yet, she concocts her biggest lie to date by introducing the first handsome stranger that walks by as her new fiancé. Happy to play the part, Nick is already planning the fake wedding of her dreams.

You know what they say about lying – the truth always comes out – and it hurts. Especially when Cori finds out she isn’t the biggest Liar in this game, and she’s been out played.

AUTHOR INFORMATION:
Stephanie St. Klaire is a Pacific Northwest native currently living in Portland, Oregon with her husband, five children, and two ferocious lap dogs that are used to the finer things in life like sleeping all day. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found with a plate full of taco’s, a side of bean dip, and probably some gummy bears while being a little bit hippy and a lot bit busy mom’ing and wife’ing.

When she’s not tossing around gritty crime show inspired serial killers and diabolical bad guys, she likes to make people pee their pants a little with a good romcom. Sometimes, her worlds collide, and she writes really funny stuff right before she kills people off on the pages! She loves murder and mayhem as much as a good laugh and HEA! That’s why she’s a die-hard Hallmark junky but loves her gritty crime shows – balance!

Stephanie has always been a story teller, with the gift of “gab”, and a life-long goal to be a writer. Unfortunate circumstances with her health, finally afforded her the time to do so. Irony at its best, she began writing her first novel at an adverse time, to escape her circumstance and explore the stories in her imagination for relief. EXCERPT

Her hands rest on her hips, the navy-blue Grecian-style dress draped down the length of her body, a small slit on the side that barely reaches her knee. “You’re really fixated on this, aren’t you?”

“Nah, didn’t care too much. A homemade dinner would have been nice, though.”

“I can’t cook.”

“Neither can I,” I answer honestly. I either eat out, or I make myself scrambled eggs, and that’s about it. Rory taught me how to make meatballs once but hell if I can remember how to do that. All I know is that I enjoyed crushing the beef between my fingers. I get by with limited knowledge in the kitchen.

She chuckles. “Well, aren’t we a pair?” She turns to watch Stryder and Rory together. Apparently not giving a shit about the even bigger elephant in the room, Ryan asks, “Is this weird for you?”

“I have a flask in my jacket pocket, so you tell me.”

She lifts her bouquet and pulls out a mini bottle of alcohol. She wiggles her eyebrows at me. “Thought maybe we’d both need this since we have to sit through having all these pictures taken with them.”

“Smirnoff? That’s what you brought with you?”

“It was all I had. Don’t judge me.”

“I’m judging.”

Playfully she whacks my arm. “You shouldn’t be judging me. It was innovative. I carved out a little space in my bouquet for this bottle. If anything, you should congratulate me on this genius idea.”

“Was it your idea?”

“I mean”—she toes the ground—“I might have seen the idea on Pinterest along with a recipe for beer cookies that tasted like vomit.”

“Beer cookies?” I shake my head and take the little bottle from her. Twist the cap, tilt the bottle back, and swig. I hand it back to her, leaving half the bottle. “Even I know better than to think beer cookies would taste good.”

“They were for a boyfriend I was trying to impress.”

“Impress or poison?”

“Impress.” She laughs. “Although after our breakup, I should probably say poison. Teach all future suitors: if you mess with me, you get poisoned.”

“It’d keep me away, that’s for damn sure.”

She finishes the rest of the little bottle and returns it to her bouquet. She pats it and says, “I can recycle it later.”

“Get drunk and save the earth. Sounds like a good combination to me.”

“Ryan and Colby, can we get you over here for a few pictures?” the photographer calls out.

“That’s our cue.” Ryan pokes my cheek with her index finger, looking sincerely at me. “Don’t forget to smile, because these pictures will last forever.”

“Scowling not in the job description of best man?”

As we walk over, she says, “I would normally say no, but given the bride is your ex-girlfriend, one scowl is allowed.”

“One scowl? Damn, better make it a good one.”

Thoughts on Tequila & Tea Bags

5 out of 5 stakes!

Wow I finished this book in two days. I stayed late the second night, I just couldnt bring myself to put it down. I was like okay last chapter then bed. Nope I stayed up and said I have to finish this fantastic book.
Rose being a crazy young female who parties a little too much, gets sent to live with her cousin that she hasn’t seen in forever. Not knowing that her cool cousin Elsie is now wanting to become a nun. Rose must deal with a small village of people who know everything about her already. And also a cousin whom she thinks is a bore.
However when she finds out that working at a care home for elderly people she can get a free plane ticket to wherever. Rose decides yes this will work. But making bad choices along the way is just some of the fun and not fun of this book. Some parts made me laugh literally out loud. I was like oh well. Other parts I was like are you that dumb? Then there is Will I truly enjoyed getting to know this character. But through it all my fave character is Elsie yes the young woman wanting to become a nun. I think there should be another book about her life and so on. She was funny and I loved her but I can’t watch tv or netflix when I’m a nun they won’t allow it. Please another book.
