Oh my goodness I fell in love with these two characters.
Colby I felt so bad for, I mean everything that he went through with his family. I’m still so mad at his mom for allowing that jerk to stay there. What kind of step-dad is that? And to make him feel like what he loves means nothing. Smh

Rory I liked because she kept trying to push through Colby to make him realize he is enough and a great guy. Rory truly is amazing to be there for her brother and parents. I wish though she could have seen she didn’t have to put her life on hold. I understood it, just felt bad that she didn’t take enough chance.
These two characters I want more of.

Why the stars chase the sun:

4 out of 5 stakes!!

Omg at first I wanted to yell at the idiot who let Jade go the way he did. I’m not going to lie, I was like wtaf??
But then when we meet Emmett I thought hmm. Especially the way Jade described him and was tripping over her words a little bit.
I love how these two met and hit it off right away.

Even though neither of them were looking for something serious or anything. This book went back and fourth with my emotions. I kept thinking wake up the both of you.
Emmett and his dang rules.. Ha.
I get it and understand it, however I kept thinking break them now. I’m so glad though they both took a chance to even go the route they did at first. Sometimes things need to happen that way at the start.

Check this book out, it was fun and great.

Why Stars Chase the Sun Synopsis:

Twenty-four hours.

A no-strings-attached adventure with the most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen—this was my alcohol-slash-lust-fueled proposal, and given before I could consider the potential ramifications. While his looks alone are enough to make a girl swoon, it’s the rest of him—a perfect balance of mysterious, sweet, and effortlessly charming—that draws me in. Through his cryptic comments and half-answers, he’s quickly become an enigma I’m determined to solve.

One way or another, this adventure promises to snap the stagnant, lackluster pattern my love life has been locked in lately.

Is it naïve and a little reckless to think this won’t blow up in my face? Probably.

But the bigger question is the only one I need to answer…

Is the chance to soar among the stars worth the risk of being burned when the sun eventually rises?

Love is a mistake I won’t make again.

My rules are simple. Keep things surface-deep. Don’t make plans. And never, ever get attached.

One look at her is all it takes for me to break my first rule.

One conversation with her is all it takes for me to question everything.

Which means accepting her proposal is bound to be a mistake.

She has no idea who I am or what kind of demons I live with, so I tell myself there’s no harm in spending one day with her. But the more I lose myself in her, the more she brings me out of the darkness and into her light, the harder it’ll be to let her go.

When reality comes crashing down on us in the worst way possible, I have to decide between walking away…or risking everything for the woman who breaks all of my rules.

She can almost always be found attached to her laptop with coffee nearby and her two trusty canine sidekicks by her side. Rock King by Tara Leigh

5 out of 5 Stakes!

This book is so good. The way the characters go back and fourth with the little banter. And the way Shane realizes that yes his life is crazy. But he has to want to change and forgive himself and it won’t be easy.
And hiding behind a made up character has been his way of dealing with a lot.
Delaney is a great strong character I think. She hides away as well, thinking she can’t be happy or deserves anything nice or great in her life. So Delaney kind of just runs from things. This book deals a lot with running away from guilt and alcohol and such, but the take away is nice.

Read ROCK KING by Tara Leigh before ROCK LEGEND releases on July 17th!

Fans of Kristen Callihan and Kylie Scott will scream for this sizzling bad boy rock star romance!

I’m not who you think I am.

Shane Hawthorne has it all. At least, that’s what the headlines say about me. I have millions of fans, awards, more money – and women – than I know what to do with. But what you don’t see is the wreckage I’ve caused. The memories and pain I can’t escape, even when I pour them into music and spin them into gold.

I tried to forget. To lose myself in booze and groupies. It didn’t work. It hurt me and – worse – it hurt my band. That’s the last thing I want to do, so I’m cleaning up my act… starting with Delaney Fraser.

Gorgeous, smart, drama-free, and even nice – Delaney is the perfect “girlfriend.” When I’m with her I don’t have to pretend. It’s like she sees the real me. And I can see a future with her. But that’s dangerous. Because the truth is, Shane Hawthorne doesn’t actually exist. He’s a shield to hide who I really am. Fraud. Runaway. Addict. Murderer.

And it’s impossible to love a lie, right?

An Angel. A Witch. A Demon. And A Choice.

Creatures from outer realms suck, as any gatekeeper worth their salt will tell you. Welcome to Rogan’s life, an orphaned seventeen-year-old who lives and trains with other misfits under her uncle’s roof, keeping Earth safe from non-human realm jumpers. Rogan’s biggest issue concerns her uncle’s short leash with her freedom—that is of course, until she’s taken by a notorious witch, and her life begins to unravel. Soon, the supernatural beauty discovers there’s a reason her uncle kept such a tight lock on her whereabouts, and that she has more than angel blood running through her veins.

Eighteen-year-old Max is an angel, and Rogan’s mentor and guardian. He’s well aware of her tenacious inability to obey orders, though he also knows she’s a fierce fighter. When he’s involved in a scheme that ultimately gets Rogan kidnapped, he must battle his way back to her in an attempt to save her from the darkness threatening to possess her.

Nightmare’s Eve
by Stephen H. Provost
Publication date: February 22nd 2018
Genres: Horror, Young Adult

A collection of 16 short stories and 10 dark poems in the tradition of “The Twilight Zone.”

Trapped for eight centuries in a space no larger than a shoebox. What would you do to escape? How far would you go to rid yourself of that parasite in your brain that feeds off the worst of your nightmares? What if the person closest to you were fated to die – and you were powerless to stop it?

What if your savior were also your greatest fear? Would you trade years of your life for a chance at redemption? Would you slay or spare the dragon whose eyes gaze up at you pleadingly in the final moments of its life?

These are the questions that run through the mind when twilight fades and eyelids grow heavy. Fight the onset of sleep. Thrash beneath the covers in futile defiance of what lies beyond. This is the between-time of Nightmare’s Eve, those brief but lingering moments between the waking world and the abyss. It will have you. It’s only a matter of time.

The wonder of you by Harper Kincaid. Buy now! My thoughts below:

5 out 5 stakes!

This book is very cute. It made me laugh. I can’t wait to read more about these wonderful characters.
Alice is a country girl who moves to NY city. Alice learns that everything is a faster pace but yet the same in some ways. Alice meets a rough city guy by accident. But he opens her heart and eyes to a whole new wonder land.

Dare is a handsome rough around the edges kind of guy. When he meets Alice his world changes for the better. Dare finds himself through Alice, he realizes he can open his heart and really love again. With Dare being famous in the art world can he still be a regular person with a private life?
I recommend this quick cute book for anyone who wants to have a laugh.

THE WONDER OF YOU by Harper Kincaid is a modern, Alice in Wonderland re-telling you won’t want to miss!

What if Alice didn’t fall down the rabbit hole, but instead, traveled through
Lincoln Tunnel into another kind of Wonderland:
New York City.

The best day of twenty-five year old Alice Leighton’s life was the day she got to put her nothing special, lil Southern town in her rear-view mirror. Good-bye to phony ‘bless your hearts’ and ‘I’ll pray for you’ crap, all while talking trash behind her back. She’s New York City’s latest addition and she’s going to work her ass off proving she earned her spot in the country’s top grad program.
Never again will she let some jerk derail her future and break her heart. Oh, and no more players. She’s D.O.N.E with the ‘cool guys’.
Getting caught up in Dare Grangeworth, the art world’s resident bad boy, was not part of her Alice 2.0 plan, even if he is just her type, with his beard, tats sleeves and intense green eyes. When he’s not dodging the press or his cultish fan base, Dare’s making art that makes a statement. Women seem to lose their heads around him – all the more reason why he finds Alice’s candor refreshing. He’s used to women giving in – not giving attitude.
He has to get to know this girl, even if it means allowing himself to be the subject of her research. Before too long, he becomes more than a simple outlier she can explain away. And for him everything starts to feel larger than life and upside down, like a heady rush, all while desperately trying not to lose his heart.
Become lost and found in this re-imagined story of Alice and her cast of characters, in a world where Wonderland meets Sex-and-the-City.

Born in California and raised in South Florida, Harper Kincaid has moved around like a gypsy with a bounty on her head ever since. For years, she was a jill of all trades and a master of none, but is now tickled hot pink to pen stories that break and mend people’s hearts for a living. Kincaid believes seduction occurs from the neck up, which is why her characters are smart, sexy, and slightly quirky – and definitely worthy to be your next hard-core book crush.

When not writing, she adores listening to indie, lo-fi, complaint rock played on vinyl, the theater, well-informed optimism, happy endings (both kinds), and making those close to her laugh ’til they snort. She is a self-admitted change junkie, loving new experiences and places, but has now happily settled in the cutest lil’ town, Vienna, Virginia.
