When Planets Fall

by Abby J. Reed

(Stars Fall Circle #1)

Published by: Soul Mate Publishing

Publication date: April 12th 2017

Genres: Fantasy, Science Fiction, Young Adult

“In this richly imagined start to a new sci-fi series, Reed brings optimism to the goal of solving entrenched violence in a galaxy far, far away . . . A propulsive, sharply crafted tale about a planetary war.” -Kirkus Reviews
Breaker’s home is cleaved by blood. The three tribes on the planet Scarlatti, whose only difference is their blood color, each want to exploit Breaker’s valley for themselves. The feudal tension has already claimed red-blood Breaker’s leg and his older brother. Now all this 18-year old wants is to maintain the tenuous peace in order to keep his little ‘stroid of a brother alive. Malani, a red-blood raised blue, is a kidnapped POW and only wants to return to her adoptive home with her dangerous blue secrets. Luka, a red-blood stewing for trouble, wants to right wrongs done to his family and bath his home in justice.
All three intersect when Breaker discovers a wrecked starship and is given seven days by the green-bloods to fix and hand it over as a weapon. Breaker must decide if aiding his enemies is worth the home he knows and his family’s life. War is coming. And war respects no boundaries. And war leaves no survivors.

My review for Conversion by Katherine Howe

3 out of 5 stars!

Alright this book was ok. But I honestly wanted to love it. I couldn’t wait to read it. But the main character that is in the present time Colleen just annoyed me to much. Not because she didn’t realize what her best Friend had been hiding. But because she seemed only about herself. A lot of her classmates were falling ill from some mysterious illness including her best Friend and she was just worried about missing class and such. And her parents seemed like they were much the same. Always forgetting about a younger sister.  Also this book has another story in it, about the Salem witch trial or the start of it really. That was alright, to find out more to the story. I do like the Author’s writing though. Even if I didn’t like this book as much as I wanted to.

My review for Never Fade ( The Darkest Minds # 2) By Alexandra Bracken

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars!

Now in this second book we find Ruby helping the Children’s League. And is considered her team’s leader. Ruby doesn’t want to be and she really doesn’t want to be there. When she goes on an op to rescue an agent, she gets more than she bargins for. She meets Cole, Liam’s brother.

Now not to give any spoilers away.. But Ruby goes on a mission which leads her to Liam and Chubs.

Then it’s a race against time to get back to HQ before something happens that changes everything for all of them. I find this book to be really great and you feel for these characters. Yes you get mad at them sometimes. Because you think Ruby just tell Liam how you feel…

Excerpt #1

“Stop looking at me like that,” he said with a sigh as he reached down and squeezed my hand. “I told you, I’m fine. The breakup was mutual. It made no sense to do the long distance thing. I mean, it’s not like I planned on marrying her.”

“I know, but still…”

“Still nothing, Bright. I’m not upset. Actually, I’m really good.”

“Good? Matt, you and Devan have been together for almost a year.”

“Yeah, but we’ve been growing apart for a while. I guess she just figured it was time…I wanted…never mind.”

“What do you mean it was time?”

He placed his hands on my shoulders and slouched so that he was at my eye level and smiled. “Not now, Bright. Okay? But I promise you, I’m fine.”

I pushed off the lockers and slipped my arm into the crook of his, pulling him down the hallway as we searched for our lockers. We planned to share if we were on opposite sides of the school, to make it easier for storage. Granted, the principal frowned upon that sort of thing, but it was harmless.

“I’ve missed you, Matty,” I said, resting my head on his shoulder as we walked.

Matthew Larkin was easy to like as both a crush and a friend. He was reliable, sweet, and easy on the eyes, despite Leah’s claims that he was nothing more than a geek.

“I missed you, too Whitman,” he said.

Excerpt #2

Without a second thought, I rushed over to where she was and grabbed the strangers, hoping to save her from whatever fate the creeps had in store. One of the guys stumbled as I moved him out of the way, and turned like he was about to hit me. I wrapped an arm around her waist and her head rolled to the side, resting on my shoulder as her hair covered her face. The two guys glared at me for my intrusion, but I only glared back.

“I’ve got her,” I said.

“We got it, go enjoy the music,” one said with a smirk that made my skin crawl.

“This is my friend,” I lied.

The guys looked at each other and then back to me. I felt the girl’s body pull away from me slightly and I tightened my grip.

“My boyfriend is right over there,” I said, pointing at the stage at a bouncer near the door. He had that bald-tough-guy-look that intimidated most people and guys tried to avoid. “Let’s not make a scene.”

Finally the other guy let her go, and it took all my strength to hold her upright as she started to slip from my grasp. She made some gurgling noise, and it was clear that she was completely out of it. I was terrified for her.

She gets kipnapped, and everything changes. Li Na Zhao wants Lauren’s company and her. So in exchange Li Na Zhao is willing to give back Lauren’s sister for all that.

Gabe who doesn’t want to make any deals and lose Lauren, he calls his brothers and their security team to help find Lauren’s sister.

Meanwhile Lauren is willing to make that deal and hand over herself and her company for her sister’s safety and return.

It’s race against time in finding out where Hannah is being held, and making sure Lauren doesn’t make any deals. This book is a thrill, and has some love scene’s. Pick this book up.

First off I love this book.

I mean yes it one of thoyse books you finish in one sitting or is that just me??  In this 3rd and final book we find Isis starting college. Thinking that she left nameless behind. While trying to find Jack and yet trying to forget him. Starting over isn’t so easy when the past shows up.

Running into Nameless and having her fear come again. Jack going under cover to put nameless away for hacking crimes, doesn’t realize Isis is at the same college.
Isis tries to hide her feelings for Jack, but doesn’t do such a great job and nameless using that against her.

Will Jack and Isis get it right this time and admit their feelings for each other? Will nameless ruin everything for her again?

Remember Me Forever (Lovely Vicious #3)

by Sara Wolf

Publication Date:  May 2, 2017

Publisher:  Entangled Teen

“What a rush! Brilliantly crafted, sharply written, and completely unpredictable–the perfect ending to an all-time favorite series! Sara Wolf is a fresh voice in YA, and her characters never fail to make me laugh and think. If you’re in the mood for an edgy, witty, one-of-a-kind romance, this is definitely for you!” —Rachel Harris, NYT bestselling author

Isis Blake hasn’t fallen in love in three years, forty-three weeks, and two days. Or so she thinks.

The boy she maybe-sort-of-definitely loved and sort-of-maybe-definitely hated has dropped off the face of the planet in the face of tragedy, leaving a Jack Hunter–shaped hole. Determined to be happy, Isis fills it in with lies and puts on a brave smile for her new life at Ohio State University.

But the smile lasts only until he shows up. The menace from her past—her darkest secret, Nameless—is attending OSU right alongside her. And he’s whispering that he has something Isis wants—something she needs to see to move forward. To move on.

Isis has always been able to pretend everything is okay. But not anymore.

Isis Blake might be good at putting herself back together.

But Jack Hunter is better.

Sara Wolf is a twenty-something author who adores baking, screaming at her cats, and screaming at herself while she types hilarious things. When she was a kid, she was too busy eating dirt to write her first terrible book. Twenty years later, she picked up a keyboard and started mashing her fists on it and created the monster known as the Lovely Vicious series. She lives in San Diego with two cats, a crippling-yet-refreshing sense of self-doubt, and not enough fruit tarts ever.
