4 out of 5 stars!

This book is crazy from the start of it.

We are in the future where nothing is as it was. We learn Ven’s are an accident which came from a toxic spill. So some humans have special abilities from no fault of their own. And the military trains them to be super soldiers to take out their own and rebels.

Roan who is a ven was taken from his clan at 16, he never got over his first love.

As years past Roan got tired of being military property. Roan escapes, only to run into his past again his first love Jace.

Jace who never quite got over Roan doesn’t know what to think when he see’s him.

Jace being a leader of his own clan now decides to take Roan in, the rest of the clan has doubts. However Cayra, Jace’s wife is okay with it.

As time goes on Roan starts to feel for Jace again as if he’s never stopped.

Can Roan and Jace figure things out with Cayra as well? Will they stop the military from destroying clans and taking Roan back with them?

I’m waiting for book # 2.  I want to read more about these characters.

For the Clan

Joshua and the Arrow Realm (Lightning Road #2)

by Donna Galanti

Publication Date:  August 30, 2016

Publisher:  Tantrum Books

Joshua never thought he’d return to the world of Nostos so soon. But, when King Apollo needs his help in the Arrow Realm, Joshua’s will and powers will be tested in order to save him.
With his loyalties divided between our world and theirs, Joshua wonders whether he alone can restore magic to the twelve powerless Olympian heirs, or whether he is being tricked into making the one mistake that might cost them all.
JOSHUA AND THE ARROW REALM is the exciting follow up to JOSHUA THE LIGHTNING ROAD which the Midwest Book Review called, “a heart-pounding thrill ride.”

Book 1 excerpt

Stay away from the window, don’t go outside when it’s storming and whatever you do, do not touch the orb.
Twelve-year-old Joshua Cooper’s grandpa has always warned him about the dangers of lightning. But Joshua never put much stock in his grandpa’s rumblings as anything more than the ravings of an old man with a vast imagination. Then one night, when Joshua and his best friend are home alone during a frightful storm, Joshua learns his grandpa was right. A bolt of lightning strikes his house and whisks away his best friend—possibly forever.
To get him back, Joshua must travel the Lightning Road to a dark place that steals children for energy. But getting back home and saving his friend won’t be easy, as Joshua must face the terrifying Child Collector and fend off ferocious and unnatural beasts intent on destroying him.
In this world, Joshua possesses powers he never knew he had, and soon, Joshua’s mission becomes more than a search for his friend. He means to send all the stolen children home—and doing so becomes the battle of his life.

Defective By B. Austin

My review for

Defective

By

B. Austin

5 out of 5 stars!
This book has to be one of my favorite’s now.

Just for the fact that it’s crazy to think about.

We learn that in the future people are perfect, they don’t like those that think outside the box so to speak.

People that are different are defective, they have to wear silver jumpsuits with a no red circle symbol on the front. Also they wear hoodies with the same symbol. They are called outcast. They are the ones who don’t want to conform they rebel.

Dante is one of the main characters in this book and it’s told from his point of view.

The outcast kids are underground in the city, they travel by tunnels. Break rules, curfews, different things.

Dante is waiting for his girlfriend Kiara to show up for her surprise birthday party.

But when she doesn’t show up and they can’t find her.. She’s labeled as one of the missing.

Kiara’s parents say she’s on a vacation.

But as Dante and other outcast work together to find her, they realize more kids just vanish.

Very few come back and when they do they are changed and no longer outcast. They are perfect.

When Dante and a few friends follow a lead where they think Kiara might be taken they find something so sinister they don’t want to believe the common wealth could do this..

Not everyone is born perfect, sometimes you have to be made perfect.

This book is so awesome. Reminds me of a movie I love and own from the 90’s.

Please check out this book!

5 out of 5 stars!
Oh my goodness this book is awesome. Right from the start. We meet Natalia, the main character and she lives in a dome with her grandparents along with the rest of her little city. They had built the dome long before May was born to keep the infected people out and radation. Even though they had a cleansing war to remove the infected they have to stay in the dome.

One day Nat goes to the outer forest to be alone and see’s two outsiders. Now they are told by the order which is their idea of a government that there are no outsiders. No life outside the dome.

From there things only start getting strange and secrets are becoming revealed.

Nat meets the outsider Evan who reveals more truth about the dome and maybe how her parents really died.

But Nat doesn’t want to believe Evan, but she thinks the order must be lying because here is Evan from the outside and he’s not infected.

They start working together and she soon realizes there are other people who are rebels. That are against the order and want out of the dome. But with all the lies and very little truth she’s been told all her life… Who can she trust? Evan the outsider? Or Jak her best friend for years? What is the director of the order hiding from everyone?

I don’t want to give spoilers. So please just check out this book. And I hope there will be a second book……

5 out of 5 stars!
Wow loving this book. Marci who is 16 and a computer hacker is just trying to get by. With her mother not ever really paying attention to her since her father died. Marci’s only great friend is Xave… But he doesn’t even know what hides in Marci’s head. Marci feels she has shadows that take over her brain sometimes, rendering her helpless to control them or herself. She doesn’t want to let anyone know about it, for fearing they will think she is just crazy.

But one night her and Xave follow his big brother to see what he’s been up to lately..

Eventually Marci and Dave meet the group of people who they think are dangerous. But only for Marci to find out James an older guy has the same shadows in his brain.

Can Marci trust James to help her figure out what it is?? And will Marci’s mother treat her any better after finding out Marci’s brother is actually alive and near??

Check out this amazing book to find out…..

This book is amazing. From the very beginning it was like wow.

I mean I haven’t read the two books before it, but it wasn’t an issue because you could catch on quick with everything.

We meet Keiran who is a protector over fairy population. He doesn’t trust anyone or humans. So when his sister who is having twin babies he becomes extra cautious about them and the surrounding area.

Tara the Grandmother of the babies on the father’s side is hiding something… You don’t know if Tara is truly honest and has good intentions or wants to be by the twins for power, that she no longer has.

Tara brings along doctor Annie to have check over the twins who is a human.

From there things get complicated with Annie not knowing they are fairies.

Not to give away any spoilers really…

But Annie has an attraction to Keiran and the same goes for Kieran for Annie.

Will Keiran be able to look past Annie being human?? Will be find out the threat who is harming his sister to get to the twins??

Read and find out!!!
